Accessibility statement

paced is built for every learner, and we mean that without exception. We are committed to making paced as inclusive, perceivable, and operable as possible.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is an ongoing effort; we audit and improve continuously.

What we've built

• Colour contrast meeting or exceeding 4.5:1 for body text against all background surfaces
• Animations that pause automatically when you have prefers-reduced-motion enabled in your operating system
• Decorative images and SVGs marked aria-hidden so screen readers skip them
• Screen-reader alternatives for animated content (orbit diagram, river timeline)
• Semantic HTML landmarks (nav, main, footer) for keyboard and assistive-technology navigation
• Focus-visible styles on all interactive elements
• Logical heading hierarchy throughout every page

Known limitations

paced is in active development. Some areas are still being improved:

• The interactive check-in mood grid is being updated to include full keyboard navigation and ARIA role annotations
• The orbit visualisation is complex; the screen-reader text alternative is a simplified description and may not convey all nuance
• Mobile pages are being audited separately and updates are in progress
